The People's Choice Awards 2017 took place last night, marking another big occassion on the award season circuit and whilst some shined on the red carpet some lost all sense of taste, here are our award winners...
Best Audition: Blake Lively In Elie Saab
Shirley Bassey is missing a costume! Poised for the remake of Chicago the Gossip Girl certainly knows how to work her best assets: those pins and that incredible post baby body. It seems someone can't shake off her festive feelings.
Best/Worst Remake: Fifth Harmony In Pretty Little Thing
It's as if the early 2000s have vomed up it's worst wears for the occasion: corsets, weird off the shoulder shawl vibes, diamanté chockers and a Changing Rooms colour palette. This would be the envy of any Prom queen in 2001 but in 2017 it looks like they have raided the charity shop after Daniela Westbrooke has made a donation. Claps for respecting their carbon footprint and recycling though! Other thoughts: are they wearing sheets? Are they trying to replicate Destiny’s Child circa 2001? So much to discuss.
Sexiest Woman: JLO In Reem Acra
What this woman doesn't know about being sexy AF isn't worth knowing. Fresh from going public with her romance with Drake, Jenny from the block, has certainly got a lot of sass in this floor length number. Congrats for putting the FIT into fitting once again Jen.
Best Commitment To Character: Ruby Rose In Veronica Beard
It’s always great when life imitates art and here the Orange Is The New Black star takes serious inspiration from her prison overalls.
Weirdest Trend: Sarah Jessica Parker
Speaking of festive and noughties, SJP proves that ruffles and metallic can be a winning combination, even well into January. But those detached sleeves? Let’s not make this a thing.
Best Newcomer: Yara Shahidi in Off-White
Star of Blackish 16 year old Yara showed a style prowess beyond her years. Tapping nicely into the monochrome op-art trend that you won’t be able to move for come spring, the actress does well to wear this tricky dress rather than let it wear her.
