Charlotte Tilbury On How You Can Nail Emma Robert’s Glamtastic Oscars Beauty Look.

Emma Roberts at the Oscars 2017

Rex Features

She’s one of the most in demand make-up artists with Penelope Cruz, Kim Kardashian, Kate Moss and Amal Clooney as both regular clients and close friends, so it should be no surprise that Charlotte Tilbury was called on by actress Emma Roberts for her Oscar’s beauty look.

Going with a 1940s bombshell look (also seen on Emma Stone), Charlotte began by prepping Emma’s skin with her new Magical Facial Dry Sheet Mask, which launches later this month, before applying the Light Wonder foundation. The medium coverage foundation covers imperfections and leaves the skin with a lit-from-within glow.

Then for contour, Charlotte used her Filmstar Bronze and glow palette, applying the darker shade just below the cheekbones and the highlight on the top, creating shape and definition.

The 1940s bombshell look was amped with when Charlotte then applied the shade Red Carpet Red (of course). Emma’s lips were lined with the Kiss ‘N’ Tell pencil to make them appear fuller.

Moving onto eyes, Charlotte used a mix of a metallic bronze cream shadow in Bette on the lid and the gold-hued cream shadow in the shade Bette in the inner corner of Emma’s.

The look was enhanced with a reddish, gold-flecked eye shadow pencil in Bronzed Garnet used to line the upper lashes, finishing in Charlotte’s signature feline flick before mascara was applied on the top lashes only.

Meet The Groomer Who Is Giving Dogs Beyonce-Level Hair

Jess Rona/Instagram

If the dogs on Jess Rona’s Instagram feed could talk, they’d ask, “Beyoncé, what’s good?” At least, that’s what we think considering the wind machine they sit in front of in Rona’s videos looks just as powerful as one Bey would use.

Thanks to a mix of haircut photos and the aforementioned slo-mo wind machine videos, which are always set to a perfect soundtrack, the L.A.-based groomer’s Instagram account has gone viral. Rona’s 117,000-and-counting followers keep her in their feeds to see the stylish cuts she gives her furry clients.

In-between double-tapping pretty much  every post Rona has uploaded since she's started sharing her work on Instagram, we talked to her about how her grooming Instagram account came to be, the art of picking the perfect song for her dog videos, and all the hair trends that exist in the dog grooming world.

How did you get your start in dog grooming and what do you love about it?

I got my start as a dog bather actually. As an aspiring actress, it seemed like the most flexible non 9-5 type job I could do. In the beginning, I worked every odd job related to grooming; doggie daycare, front desk at a grooming salon, dog walking, assistant to a dog trainer, etc. I was lucky enough to have grooming mentors, and I started learning to groom slowly over the years. After juggling waiting tables at night and grooming part time during the day, I decided to stop waiting tables and really commit to getting as good as I could as a groomer. I love so many things about it. I get to express myself through dogs, I love the reaction of the clients when they see their clean babies, and I love being creative and playing with fun haircuts. And the best part about this crazy new Instagram success is that my two worlds are colliding.

When did you start capturing your work on Instagram and how did the videos come about?

Three years ago I started working for myself so I would have more time for auditions. I didn't have a ton of clients, so I was just taking my time with each pup. I created @JessRonaGrooming so I could post grooming-only photos. One day I was blow-drying a Pekingese named Noodle and her ears flew up in the air. I grabbed my phone and filmed it and posted it. (This was before the slo-mo feature.) I thought it was so funny. A few months later, I got a new phone with slo-mo and started playing around with music and timing. I listen to music all day, so it organically started to take shape when a song I was listening to matched the tone of the dog I was blow-drying. Then, it became my favourite thing to do.

Posting pet content has become a huge trend on Instagram. What are your tips for taking good dog/pet Instagram photos?

I love it if a pup is expressing a fun emotion. I look at other Instagram accounts for inspiration. I love @harlowandsage. I don’t know how she gets those dogs to pose the way she does, but it’s the cutest thing. I find that when I put some love into it, it’s genuine and from the heart, and people respond to it. Lastly, be inspired by your pet! If they’re doing something goofy or cute, snap a photo instead of trying to stage something forced.

Some of the dogs with the wind machine seriously rival Beyoncé. What breed/type of cut is your favorite to do, and do you keep your Instagram in mind when you’re doing cuts?

My favorite breeds to give haircuts on are mini poodles, but a good video needs some big fur flowing. I always want to put my best work on my Instagram, so I do try to do a good job. But my favorite breed (besides @TheGoodLifeOfStella) is a Cavalier King Charles. They don't need much trimming but a good blow out never does!

How is doing dog grooming different than human hair?

Each breed has a different coat type. Human hair is coarser. And a hair stylist for people doesn't clip nails, clean ears, and shave rears. (At least most don't.)

How do you go about choosing the cut for the dog? Are there dog hair trends?

Ooh! I'm all about Asian Fusion inspired looks. Not to be confused with that groomer who trimmed a dog's head in the shape of a box (so many people sent that to me). I like a whimsical cartoonish teddy bear look. I follow some fun Asian groomers on Instagram that give me inspiration. I also know that a dog's expression comes from the eyes, the shape of their ears and their feet. So those are the areas I focus on.

How do you deal with the haters or customers who get upset their dogs didn’t get selected for a video?

I had one lady get really mad at me because I didn't make a video of her dogs. She thought it was included in the grooming. So since she unleashed on me (pun intended), I now have a disclaimer with new clients explaining that videos are things I make for fun, and I don't guarantee them.

What are some other pet Instagram accounts everyone needs to follow?

I love: @marniethedog, @tunameltsmyheart, @dailydougie, and @harlowandsage. These are some other fun grooming accounts: @dogsalonvid, @dogdiamond_jp, @ame_to.m, @royboi_roigrooms, @tomopsk.

Surprise! Penn Badgley And Domino Kirke Are Married

Rex Features

Gossip Girl alumni Penn Badgley and doula-cum-musician Domino Kirke (sister to Lola and Jemima) wed in a private ceremony in Brooklyn on Monday, People reports.

Lola Kirke had alluded to her sister's recent nuptials in a series of Instagram photos posted to her account earlier on Monday. One of the shots shows Lola, Domino, Jemima, and Domino’s son, Cassius, posed against a courthouse backdrop. “When someone gets married in a courthouse, it's really an open invitation to everyone but the beautiful bride to explore all that fashion has to offer,” she wrote. “Here, I try a look simply called ‘Pants,’ as Cassius goes for ‘That Dude from #incubus’ and Jemima experiments with ‘Off to Therapy!’ Congratulations @dominokirke. We love you.”

The second post is an intimate selfie of Lola and her big sis. “It literally took every ounce of will power I possess not to flash a #boob in this #meaningful photo of my sister and me the night before her #WEDDING,” Lola joked, “Congratulations dommy. I love you that much.”

Congratulations to the newlyweds!

The Moonlight Cast Steams Up Calvin Klein’s Latest Underwear Campaign

Mahershala Ali celebrates his Oscar win by getting his top off

If anything can make you forget about the Oscars' best picture flub, this is it.

While Mahershala Ali and Trevante Rhodes have been suited up on the red carpet throughout awards season, the duo stripped down for Calvin Klein in a new campaign featuring the Moonlight cast, fresh off their much talked about Oscars wins.

And it's safe to say they've been hitting the gym. In the steamy shots, the new dad—and newly cemented best supporting actor Oscar winner—strips off his black crew neck T-shirt revealing his chiseled chest, six-pack abs, and a glimpse of his black Calvin Klein underwear under his slim-cut jeans.

"You get older and you think you have some things figured out, but these young actors reminded me of the power of exploring," Ali is quoted as saying in the caption of the shot that the brand shared on Instagram Monday.

RELATED: The 8 Oscars dresses you need to see

Speaking of abs, Rhodes also showed off his immaculate eight-pack and the rest of his muscular body as he lounged in a leather chair wearing nothing but a black pair of CK cotton stretch hip briefs and a swoon-worthy smile.

"It's not so long ago I was waiting tables down the street from here, and now ...," he's quoted as saying in the caption. ⠀

The campaign, shot by Willy Vanderperre, marks Calvin Klein chief creative officer Raf Simons's first underwear-specific project for the label, and was released the day after Rhodes and other cast members rocked CK looks on the red carpet at the Academy Awards.

The black-and-white photo series, titled "Revelation," also features Ashton Sanders, who lounges on a couch in black CK boxer briefs, as well as 12-year-old Alex R. Hibbert, who repres

What You Can Learn from Naomie Harris’ Oscars Facialist

Teresa Tarmey may be on every A-lister’s speed dial, but she's famously tight-lipped about who she treats. Her celebrity fans include the likes of Kate Moss, Nicole Kidman and Poppy Delevingne and they go to the skincare supremo for her unrivalled nous with lasers or for one of her famous pre-event face-lifting massages. But Teresa remained resolutely mum when we grilled her this weekend, only conceding that she was in LA to give facials to some Oscar attendees.

Fortunately, her celeb fans are more forthcoming - here’s Naomie Harris’ Instagram shot of her mid-facial with Teresa:

While Teresa is reassuringly discreet about her clients, she was pretty forthcoming with tips on how to get a glow pre-event. Sharpen your pencils - these are the rules you really need to make a note of.

Rule one: skip extractions

"I wouldn’t ever suggest doing extractions before an event - it’s a really bad idea as it may make the skin red or sensitive post. Instead, I’d focus on using a lactic acid-based product to brighten the skin without any peeling."

Rule two: get massaging

"Another good tip if you have more time is to give yourself a facial massage. If you don’t find it easy to do yourself, just focus on stimulating the blood circulation which will in turn temporarily lift the muscle and, by extension, the skin."

Rule three: avoid oils

"Lots of people recommend using oils on skin but I personally don’t like to use them for massage - I find them messy, comedogenic, and sometimes find that essential oils can overwhelm the skin. I use my own blend of vitamins when giving a facial, but also sometimes apply Neo-Strata Firming Collagen Booster."

Rule four: try a laser

"If you can get to a good facialist pre-event, radio frequency is a great way to tighten, while an intense blast of hyaluronic acid can work wonders, too - I just got a Cryoskin machine in my treatment rooms and love using it before a big event.”

Chrissy Teigen Needed a Nap at the Oscars and Twitter Lost It

Hours after Chrissy Teigen goofed off on the Academy Awards red carpet in a sultry white Zuhair Murad gown alongside her husband, La La Land star John Legend, it looks like the nearly four-hour-long ceremony got to be a little too much for the mother of one.

The stunner, who attended her fourth consecutive Oscars on Sunday evening, set the Internet abuzz after eagle-eyed viewers caught shots of her appearing to doze off on her husband's shoulder while seated in the auditorium—more than once!

She seemed to completely miss Casey Affleck snagging the trophy for best actor. Watch it here:

We then see the mom to 10-month-old Luna again appearing to keep snooze during Emma Stone's acceptance speech for best actress. Was the supermodel pretending to sleep? Resting her eyes momentarily? Or just plain exhausted? We don't know quit yet, but the Internet erupted with people commenting on the snooze sessions.

However, if Teigen was trying to sneak in a little power nap or two during the ceremony, she did made sure to be wide awake for Legend's stirring performance of La La Land's "Audition" and "City of Stars," which ultimately beat out Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" and even Lin-Manuel Miranda's “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana to take home the trophy for best original song.

These Salted Toffee Apple Pancakes Are Serious Food Porn

Fluffy pancakes meets boozy apples and a dollop of vanilla ice-cream. Gizzi Erskine just totally upped the pancake game...

For the pancakes:

Makes 8-10 (you will have leftover pancakes, but they keep in the fridge or you can freeze them!)

Preparation time 5 minutes

Resting time 30 minutes

Cooking time 20 minutes

110g plain flour

a pinch of salt

a pinch of sugar

1 free range egg

1 free range egg yolk

285ml milk

2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or melted butter.

Method:

Put the flour, salt and sugar into a mixing bowl. Gradually whisk in the egg, egg yolk and milk until smooth and combined. Cover with clingfilm and leave to rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.

Heat a pancake/crepe pan to a medium heat. You ust make sure th pan is fairly hot beofre spooing in the batter, otherwise you will get thick rubbery pancakes. Dip a piece of kitchen paper into the oil and wipe around the pan Add 1 ladleful of batter into the pan and swirl it around, making sure it coats the bottom. Pour any excess into the bowl. Fry the pancake for 30 seconds to 1 minute, until the pancake is nicely golden on its base, then carefully flip it over and finish cooking it for a further 30 seconds. This side will have small brown blisters on it. Slide the pancake on to a plate and repeat with the rest of the batter.

For the filling:

Serves 2

2 tbsp butter.

1 apple, peeled, cored and sliced into 1/2cm slices

2 tbsp golden caster sugar

1 tbsp brandy

Squeeze of lemon juice

Squeeze of orange juice

2 tbsp of double cream

A pinch of salt

Method:

Melt the butter in a pan over a high hear. When it starts to foam add the apple slices and cook for 3-5 minutes, until they start to carmalise and soften. Keep the temperature high, and add 2 tbsp of sugar and flip them over so they become caramlised all over. Add the brandy and flambe so you cook off the alcohol. Add a squeeze of orange juice, followed by a squeeze of lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Lastly add the double cream.

Take your pancake and lay it flat out on a serving plate. Spoon half of the mixture across one half of the pancake. Fold the other half over and then again into quarters. Serve with a dollop of vanilla ice cream.

How The Biggest Mistake In Oscars History Actually Happened

Unless you've had a mega lie-in by now you've most likely seen the biggest cock-up to ever happen in Oscar's history.

To recap, presenters Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway took to the stage to announce La La Land as the overall winner, when - in reality - Moonlight had scooped the top prize. As the entire cast of La La Land rushed up on stage to accept their award the mistake is realised. Cue a lot of confused and shocked faces.

via GIPHY

'I opened the envelope and it said: Emma Stone, La La Land,' Beatty explained. 'That's why I took such a long pause and looked at Faye, and at you. I wasn't trying to be funny.'

Los Angeles Times writer Jeffrey Fleishman claimed that midway through the La La Land acceptance speech a stage hand standing in the wings of the stage said: 'Oh f**k. Oh my God. He got the wrong envelope.'

In an official statement PricewaterhouseCoopers, which has overseen the Academy's ballot-counting process for the past 83 years, clarified their role in the error saying: 'We sincerely apologize to Moonlight, La La Land, Warren Beatty, Faye Dunaway, and Oscar viewers for the error that was made during the award announcement for Best Picture. The presenters had mistakenly been given the wrong category envelope and when discovered, was immediately corrected. We are currently investigating how this could have happened, and deeply regret that this occurred. We appreciate the grace with which the nominees, the Academy, ABC, and Jimmy Kimmel handled the situation.'

However, the strange mix-up just gets even stranger as at post-awards press conference Emma Stone said: 'I f***ing loved Moonlight. God, I love Moonlight so much! I’m so excited for Moonlight! And, of course, it was an amazing thing to hear La La Land. I think we all would have loved to win Best Picture. But we are so excited for Moonlight. I think it is one of the best films of all time. So I was pretty beside myself. I was also holding my Best Actress in a leading role card that entire time.  So whatever story - I don’t mean to start stuff - but whatever story that was, I had the card. So, I’m not sure what happened. And I really wanted to talk to you guys first.'

Hmmm... so what really happened.

Well it seems all comes down to the briefcases that the awards envelopes are carried in. A past interview in Medium with the two Oscars balloting co-leaders, Brian Cullinan and Martha Ruiz explains how the system works...

'The producers decide what the order of the awards will be,' says Brian Cullinan. We each have a full set. I have all 24 envelopes in my briefcase; Martha [Ruiz] has all 24 in hers. We stand on opposite sides of the stage, right off-screen, for the entire evening, and we each hand the respective envelope to the presenter. It doesn’t sound very complicated, but you have to make sure you’re giving the presenter the right envelope.'

Then just three days Cullinan told the Huffington Post what would happen if there was a mix-up on the night...

'We would make sure that the correct person was known very quickly,' he said. 'Whether that entails stopping the show, us walking onstage, us signaling to the stage manager — that’s really a game-time decision, if something like that were to happen. Again, it’s so unlikely.'

Jennifer Aniston Dazzles at the Oscars in $10.7M Worth of Diamonds and Sparkling High-Slit Gown

These days, seeing Jennifer Anistonon an awards show red carpet feels akin to spotting the rarest of birds flit by while out on a jungle safari. But although the Friends star very rarely makes an official public appearance at awards shows, she does seem to make an exception for the Oscars, which she attends roughly every two years wearing one stunning, yet simple, custom gown after the next. And this year was no exception, as she arrived at the ceremony wearing a glittering low-cut black gown with a mega high-slit.

While she may have developed a bit of a red carpet reputation for herself by regularly showing up at events wearing a variation on the classic little black dress, at the Academy Awards, she tends to break out of that mold, going with something in a vibrant hue or with a touch of sparkle. This year, she attended the season’s biggest award ceremony in her signature black gown style with added interest thanks to the all-over sequins, a low neckline and a daringly high slit. As for her famous hair, she skipped the Hollywood waves in favor of sleek center-parted strands.

The star attended the event alongside her husband Justin Theroux, and she took the stage to remember those lost this year as she introduced Sara Bareilles for the “in memoriam” tribute.

She even passed out sunglasses to fans when a tour bus unexpectedly stopped by the Dolby Theatre.

Although Aniston has said in the past about her engagement ring that she’s, “not a diamond girl,” adding, “I’m more [into] Indian jewelry and stuff,” this year, it seems she may have changed her tune. The actress is reportedly wearing custom Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, including a 100 carat diamond emerald cut earrings worth $9,500,000 dollars and a 20-carat Golconda diamond ring worth $1,200,000 (and we can’t wait to get a closer look).

Previously, Aniston attended the Oscars in 2015 to present one of the awards wearing a fully beaded, nude, strapless Versace gown, featuring a subtle swirling pattern and semi-sheer skirt. Likewise, in 2013 she went for something equally show-stopping and Old Hollywood in a glamorous, vibrant red, strapless ball gown by Valentino.

The Internet Is Freaking Out Over the Biggest Oscars Fail in History

In a twist that absolutely no one saw coming: Moonlight won the Academy Award for Best Picture. But! That's not the whole story. Presenter Warren Beatty originally read the winner off as La La Land, and the entire cast rushed up on stage to accept their award.

Only, something wasn't right. As it turns out, Beatty was given the wrong envelope, which explains the mishap. Still, confusion ensued.

“I want to tell you what happened,” Beatty said, retaking the stage. “I opened the envelope and it said Emma Stone, La La Land. That’s why I took such a long look at Faye and at you. I wasn’t trying to be funny.”

The 2017 Oscars Beauty Micro Trends You Have To Try

When Halle Berry hit the red carpet at last night’s Oscars, it wasn’t her embellished Atelier Versace dress but rather her head of bountiful curls that stole the show. Having previously sported short or straightened hair, Halle’s look made a statement: tonight, she’d celebrate her natural hair, pairing it with a copper smoky eye to offset her highlights.

A glance through the red carpet images revealed a similar mood, with a clear message of of individuality underlining the attendees’ beauty efforts be it through berried lips combined with a hazy smoky eye a la Ruth Negga or via barely-there make-up as seen on Jennifer Aniston. That said, three cohesive beauty themes ran through the red carpet looks. Here they are, unpicked:

Retro Beauty

As seen on: Emma Stone, Emma Roberts and Ruth Negga

Get the look: This one’s all about the lip: whether vermillion or burgundy, it’s got to be red and it’s got to be perfectly-applied. Make like pro make-up artists and exfoliate lips first with a scrub (try Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub or an old toothbrush dipped in lip balm and run over the lips) before applying a coat of red, blotting and reapplying for a perfect pout.

Luminous Skin

As seen on: Jessica Biel, Felicity Jones, Alicia Vikander and Naomie Harris

Get the look: United in their lit-from-within complexions, these actresses clearly know that whatever make-up you opt for looks best when applied to beautiful skin. To up your glow factor before a night out, try some gentle exfoliation (we rate Nude Miracle Mask), followed by a moisturising mask (Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask is the go-to for Hollywood’s A-list). If a spot stands in your way, cover it with a concealer that mimics skin - Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage is one of the best.

Cropped Hair

As seen on: Michelle Williams, Ginnifer Goodwin, Viola Davis and Scarlett Johansson

Get the look: Proving that short hair can be every inch as glamorous as tumbling locks, to pull this one off, wear it with confidence. And, if you’re so inclined, a fierce hair accessory.

8 Oscars Dresses You NEED To See Before Anything Else

Emma Stone Sashayed Down The Red Carpet In Givenchy

CBA with going through an entire best dressed gallery? Here are the 8 dresses from the Oscars 2017 that you need to talk about at the water cooler during your lunch break…

1. Emma Stone’s Flapper Girl

Hollywood’s latest golden girl, Emma Stone, made sure that life imitated art by wearing a golden floor length gold flapper dress by Givenchy. The leading actress nominee sashayed down the red carpet in an elaborate gown and topped off her look with vintage waves. It seems apt for an actress in a musical to be wearing a dress with so much pizzazz. The must have accessory? Jazz hands. Durrr.

2. Chrissy Teigen’s Slash And Dash Approach

Why have one fashion feature when you can have four: a waist belt, a sassy back, a slashed hem and a ton of embellishment. Throwing everything at a dress, plus the kitchen sink, sometimes does pay off, clearly.

3. Ruth Negga’s Lady In Red

Wearing Valentino and a headband, as one does, Ruth Negga turned into a lady in red. Accessorised with the accessory of the moment, a political statement, the leading actress nominee morphed into a bold renaissance princess.

4. Halle Berry Went Large

Haille Berry, welcome back to the centre of attention. Channeling Diana Ross at the height of her 1970s fame, Halle crowned her Versace couture gown with larger than life hair.

5. Jesscia Biel Takes The Statement Necklace Home

When you aren’t in the running for a golden statue you might as well turn yourself into one. Jessica Biel’s homage to Cleopatra also managed to make the statement necklace thing a thing, again.

6. Viola Davis’s Ketchup Bottle

The colour was so vivid it basically didn’t even seem real, the Oscar-winning actress made sure her moment in the spotlight was seasoned with the brightest of colours.

7. Naomie Harris’s Long And Short Of It

Naomie Harris has had many moments this award season and she topped off her stellar week, which saw her taking home an OBE from the Queen, with a mullet hem dress with a side helping of cut-outs.

8. Meryl Streep Gets Waisted

Well we all know what Meryl wasn’t wearing… but to move on from THAT controversy, the most nominated actor EVER took a more glamorous direction than normal.

Can You Spot the Political Statement on Emma Stone’s Oscars Gown?

When Emma Stone hit the red carpet at the 2017 Oscars, all eyes were on the swingy, layered fringe at the bottom of her Givenchy Haute Couture gown, but the most powerful part of her dress was actually way up by the straps. The Best Actress nominee accessorised with a gold Planned Parenthood pin on her left lapel, expressing her solidarity with the organisation in a big way.

The La La Land star isn’t the only celebrity who made a political statement on the red carpet at the 89th annual Academy Awards. Dakota Johnson also represented Planned Parenthood with her clutch, adding the label onto her Gucci bag.

Meanwhile, celebrities like Ruth Negga, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Karlie Kloss, and Busy Philipps supported the American Civil Liberties Union, accessorising their ensembles with blue ribbons in solidarity with the organisation.

The 2017 Oscars Winners Are In

No surprise there, then

The day of reckoning has arrived. Right here, right now, the winners of the Oscars 2017 are being announced.

With all the talk that you might as well just go home if you’re not in La La Land, it was no surprise to us to see it included in 14 categories. The modern musical hit equals the Oscars record set by All About Eve in 1951 and followed by Titanic in 1998.

Will it be the amazing Meryl Streep, who is officially the most nominated actress in Oscars history, who takes home the 'Best Actress' statue? We're pleased that Natalie Portman also in the running for Best Actress for her portrayal of Jackie Kennedy in Jackie (read our Jackie review and find out why you won't be able to take your eyes off Natalie Portman). Will either of them steal it from Emma Stone?

After last year’s controversy of #OscarsSoWhite it was refreshing to see Naomi Harris and Marhershala Ali both nominated for Moonlight, the story of a young man coming to terms with his sexuality in the drug-filled streets of Miami. The film is also up for Best Picture and Best Cinematography. Octavia Spencer is also nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Hidden Figures and Denzel Washington for Best Actor for his role in Fences.

Casey Affleck, nominated for his role in the brooding drama Manchester by the Sea could also prove to be fierce competition for Ryan Gosling in the Best Actor Category.

Now all that remains to be seen is who picks up the golden statues tonight. The awards are being hosted by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood right now.

The 2017 Oscars Winners Are In

The Hair Accessories That Won The 2017 Oscars Red Carpet

Amongst the must-see hair moments on every red carpet, there’s always a few trends worthy of their own awards. At the 2017 Oscars, the stars’ hair accessories won the trophy for easiest red carpet hair look to try. While no two celebs gave their hairstyles a little something extra in quite the same way, all of the hair jewellery on the red carpet was equally award worthy. From Ruth Negga demonstrating that you can wear a headband as an adult, to Olivia Culpo’s edgy velvet ribbon pony, we’ve rounded up the best hair accessories of the night.

RELATED: All the Oscars 2017 red carpet photos

1. OLIVIA CULPO

Thanks to black velvet ribbon, Culpo's sleek low-pony is way cooler than any of the ones you wore. The star's pro Justine Marjan tied the ribbon to conceal where she tied up the pony, then weaved the velvet piece about an inch down around the pony, and knotted it.

2. JANELLE MONAE

Now this is how you debut a hairstyle. Monae showed off her new pixie cut by adding a gold headband woven with diamonds on it.

3. SOFIA CARSON

How to make a classic, braided, low bun even more red-carpet worthy? Add a retro-inspired, sparkly pin on the side same side as your part like Carson did.

4. RUTH NEGGA

Nominee Ruth Negga demonstrated that she's an expert coordinator by accessorising her red lip, dress, and earrings with a ruby headband.

Why You Won’t See Natalie Portman at the Oscars

If you're rooting for Jackie at the Oscars tonight, we've got bad news for you. According to People, the film's leading lady, Natalie Portman, won't be attending the awards show—but for good reason.

Portman is currently pregnant with her second child, and as she nears her due date, it seems she's just not up for all the fanfare of the Academy Awards.

"Due to my pregnancy, I am unable to attend the Independent Spirit Awards and the Academy Awards," Portman said in statement. "I feel so lucky to be honored among my fellow nominees and wish them the most beautiful of weekends."

RELATED: Our Jackie review (why you won't be able to take your eyes off Natalie Portman as Jackie O)

Portman is nominated for Best Actress for her role in Jackie, the Jackie Kennedy biopic. She's up against Emma Stone, Meryl Streep, Ruth Negga, and Isabelle Huppert in the category, so you know the competition is fierce!

However, the health of her baby comes first, so Portman will be watching the show from the comfort of her couch. Back in September, the Black Swan star announced she and husband Benjamin Millepied were expecting baby No. 2, and ever since, she's wowed us with one great maternity look after the next.

The couple, who have a 5-year-old son together, has kept the gender of their new baby a secret, so it will be a wonderful surprise for fans when the little bundle arrives.

Chlo Social: How To Make The Perfect Pineapple Daiquiri

Hi, I'm Chloe AKA Chlo Social. Every week I'll be bringing you along as I check out the hottest hangouts, latest food and drinks trends and quiz the coolest mixologists, chefs and streetfooders about what they're up to.

This week, I headed to the Bloomsbury Club Bar in London to meet with Bar Manager, Brian Calleja. All plush velvet chairs, wood panelling and 1920s glassware, this is a total hidden gem just off Tottenham Court Road. And, with over 10 years experience in the drinks industry, when it comes to cocktails, there is nothing Brian doesn't know. I set him the challenge of creating the perfect drink for when you've had a bad day - from being late to an important meeting to discovering those Gucci loafers you've been saving up for are now sold out in your size; or your Tinder date has bailed last minute. We've all been there and sometimes the only way to cheer yourself up is to treat yourself to a really good cocktail. Brian's answer? A Pineapple Daiquiri. Fruity with a kick, one of these will definitely help cure any bad day blues.

Watch the video above, where Brian explains how to create it, and check out the ingredients list below...

Ingredients

40ml Plantation Pineapple Rum
20ml Havana Club 7 year old Rum
1/2 fresh lime
15ml Gomme syrup AKA Sugar syrup

Method

Place all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
Shake over ice then strain.
Garnish with dried lime

The 18 Most Naked Dresses of All Time

Naked dresses are perhaps the most daring of all red carpet feats. While they may not always make the best-dressed list, they’re definitely easy to pull off. Not only do you have to have the balls to risk a wardrobe malfunction, but you have to do it with enough confidence that you look fierce—not terrified—in when the cameras flash.

Take Rihanna’s infamous CFDA dress, for example. The girl rocked a completely sheer dress without a bra—and later remarked that her only regret was not wearing a bedazzled thong to match. That is dedication.

Then, there was 2015, when the Met Gala saw not one nor two but three naked dresses on the red carpet, all worn by Hollywood’s hottest A-listers. Jennifer Lopez, bared her famous curves in a custom Atelier Versace illusion gown. Beyoncé was nearly naked in Givenchy. And Kim Kardashian West almost looked modest in comparison in her sheer Roberto Cavalli dress, because no one’s getting naked without KKW joining in.

The trend clearly hasn’t had its day, as this week saw Karlie Kloss rocked a barely-there black gown by Louis Vuitton. And she’s not the only recent convert: Dior’s whimsical Resort collection has its famous fans baring (almost) all. Sienna Miller pulled off a daisy embroidered gown from the house at Berlin Film Festival, flashing plenty of leg and with just a few blossoms to cover her modesty on top.

Keep scrolling to see the best naked dresses that inspired this daring look.

1. GWYNETH PALTROW

Paltrow wore this sheer panel stunner to the 2013 premiere of Iron Man 3, and she definitely had to shave for the occasion.

2. JAIMIE ALEXANDER

We'll never know how Alexander escaped a wardrobe malfunction in this look at the 2013 Thor premiere.

3. RITA ORA

Ora was nearly naked at an Oscars after-party looking, baring her backside in the gown that was totally sheer from behind.

4. IRINA SHAYK

This sheer bodysuit that Shayk wore to an Oscars after-party shouldn't even be legal.

5. JENNIFER LOPEZ

Lopez's Met Gala gown left nothing to the imagination—including those famous curves.

6. BELLA THORNE

Thorne's Critics' Choice Awards gown had us holding our breath and hoping no one stepped on that train.

7. RIHANNA

RiRi's crystal-embellished gown at the CFDAs will go down in history as one of the most head-turning red carpet looks.

8. BEYONCÉ

Queen Bey was flawless at the 2015 Met Gala in this sheer illusion Givenchy design.

9. EMILY RATAJKOWSKI

The actress's naked dress combined two daring trends in one: a plunging neckline and sheer panels on her hips.

10. KIM KARDASHIAN WEST

Not to be upstaged by Bey or J.Lo, Kardashian West also went sheer for the 2015 Met Gala red carpet.

11. GWEN STEFANI

While technically not a dress, this sheer bodysuit definitely counts. There's no way Stefani was able to wear underwear with this daring look.

12. JENNIFER LOPEZ

Lopez is no stranger to the naked dress: This 2015 Billboard Music Awards look is proof she does it better than most.

13. ASHLEY GRAHAM

The model's dress at the MTV Video Music Awards was basically just an advertisement for her killer bra and panty set.

14. CHRISSY TEIGEN

Here, we delve into the honorable mention category. While these dresses don't have sheer panels, that slit on Teigen cannot be ignored.

15. BELLA HADID

Hadid's slit at the 69th annual Cannes Film Festival went all the way to the top of her hip.

16. CIARA

Ciara's entire leg was freed from her dress at the 2016 Grammy Awards, solidifying her place on this infamous list.
