Forget Sofia and Justin, the biggest celebrity news of the whole year has just broken (if it’s true). Word is Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce Brad Pitt after two years of marriage, 12 years together and six children, citing ‘irreconcilable differences’.
(The reaction in the InStyle office — a collective ‘WHAT?!’ — will no doubt be echoed across the globe.)

Following the rift, which is said to be about the children, Angelina is asking for physical custody of all six meaning Brad, if it’s granted, will only have joint legal custody and visitation.
Angelina, who’s not asking for spousal support in the split, is being represented by Laura Wasser, who most recently worked with Johnny Depp in his split from Amber Heard.
Brad and Angelina were last seen out together in July, just ahead of their second anniversary, when they took their twins Knox and Vivienne out for a birthday breakfast in West Hollywood.

The pair got together in controversial circumstances back in 2004, after starring together in Mr And Mrs Smith when Brad was still married to Jennifer Aniston.
Throughout their 11-year relationship, they’ve had three children — Knox, Vivienne and Shiloh — and adopted three — Maddox, Pax and Zahara.

The children famously designed the illustrations of Angelina’s Atelier Versace dress that she wore to wed Brad back in 2014.
This will be the third divorce for Angelina, who has previously been married to Billy Bob Thornton and Jonny Lee Miller, and the second for Brad who famously divorced Jennifer Aniston back in 2005. Though it was following the filming of Mr And Mrs Smith, Brad has always denied their was no overlap in the relationships.
