The Australian designer Richard Nicoll has died, from an expected heart attack, in Sydney.
It’s been reported that an ambulance was called to his apartment in the early hours of this morning and he was taken to hospital.
Police have not confirmed a cause of death, but is not treating it as suspicious.
The 38-year-old is best known for his eponymous brand that had shown at London Fashion Week for eight years before its hiatus in 2014.

Nicoll graduated from Central Saint Martins with a MA in womenswear in 2002, and debuted a Richard Nicoll collection for autumn/winter 2006.
As well as his own label, he’s worked for Cerruti Paris, Marc Jacobs at Louis Vuitton, Topshop, Fred Perry and Jack Wills.

He was creative director at Jack Wills until January this year when co-founder Peter Williams rejoined the brand, and a move to Adidas was planned for January.
