James Corden, how did you do it?!
Nobody (not even James) expected a boy from Buckinghamshire to be the one to crack America, especially after his rise to fame in BBC Three classic Gavin And Stacey (RIP, Smithy). Welsh comedy isn’t the most marketable across the pond, but somehow, James Corden is now one of America’s most famous faces.
Many before him have tried (and failed) to break the States, but there’s clearly something about James that’s snatched the hearts of America. You don’t land those Carpool Karaoke guests without a few celebrity connections.

Sure, you tweeted a lemon emoji, but did you re-enact a visual monologue to each of Beyonce’s Lemonade music videos? James Corden did, and it’s equal parts hilarious and creepy. You NEED to see this.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke is easily our favourite way to waste time on the internet. He’s pooled with everyone from Adele, Justin Bieber and One Direction to Stevie Wonder.
Speaking Of Celeb BFFs
James is besties with Brits Harry Styles, David Beckham, Ellie Goulding and Jack Whitehall, as well as calling Mariah Carey, J-Law and Bieber pals across the pond.
He Can Sing
Who knew?! James actually played a struggling singer opposite Keira Knightley in the film Begin Again, as well as opera singer Paul in One Chance. He even took to the stage with (also famous BFF) Gary Barlow.
