We need this in our lives, like now!
Last night in literal La La Land, the Oscar nominees gathered for the (aptly named) annual Oscars Nominees luncheon. Of course the full-length gowns we will see come Oscars day were not on show, but the great and the good still put their best fashion feet forward…
Emma Stone
As the red hot favourite (pardon the pun) for her career defining role in La La Land, Emma Stone has plenty to tap dance about at the moment and this jumpsuit is one of them. Classic yet modern the one shoulder here prevents this being just ‘another jumpsuit.’
Nicole Kidman
This lady knows her way around a Chanel look and clearly this is no exception. Brining home the ‘waist’ trend for spring/summer 2017, Nicole modernises a classic-. Side note: it’s amazing what a waist belt can do for a woman, maybe Gok Wan was onto something all along!
Michelle Williams
Another day, another Louis Vuitton look. Yep we are jealous the Manchester By The Sea star has this many Louis looks on tap. If you are looking for an update on the tried and much tested tuxedo dress this is it. It’s as if Picasso has taken the tuxedo, completely discombobulated it and in the process transformed it into a piece of fine art.
Ruth Negga
Serving up a vintage vibe and retaining some footing in the contemporary age is a very tricky thing to do, but listen up people: this is how it is done! Take one bygone looking blouse and luxify it with a leather a-line, it puts the fit into fifties silhouette!
Naomie Harris
Our homegrown nominee is constantly hitting those best-dressed lists at the moment. Here the Moonlight star takes a hard to pull off nude colour and makes it seems effortless with the sprinkling of detailing providing s a touch of jazz.
Ryan Gosling
Just. Because. But also tell your man this is how you wear a tweed blazer without the Essex wheeler-dealer connotations or the down trodden farmer vibe. AKA don’t wear the print head to toe.
